The SAP error message USMD1064 indicates that there is a missing "qualifying" relationship for a specific entity type in the data model you are working with in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG). This error typically arises when the system expects a relationship to be defined that qualifies how entities are related to one another, but it has not been set up correctly.

    Cause:

    1. Missing Relationship Definition: The error occurs when the data model requires a qualifying relationship between two entity types, but this relationship has not been defined in the data model.
    2. Incorrect Configuration: There may be a misconfiguration in the data model setup, where the relationship is either not created or incorrectly defined.
    3. Entity Type Dependency: The entity type in question may depend on another entity type, and the qualifying relationship is necessary to establish this dependency.

    Solution:

    2. Define the Qualifying Relationship:

      • Navigate to the section where relationships are defined for the entity type.
      • Create a new relationship or modify an existing one to ensure that it qualifies the relationship between the two entity types.
      • Ensure that the relationship is marked as "qualifying" if required by the data model.
    3. Validate the Data Model:

      • After defining the relationship, validate the data model to ensure that there are no other issues.
      • Use the MDG tools to check for consistency and correctness in the data model.
    4. Test the Changes:

      • Once the relationship is defined, test the changes by trying to execute the process that previously triggered the error.
      • Ensure that the error no longer appears and that the data model functions as expected.

    Related Information:

    • SAP Documentation: Refer to the official SAP Help Portal for detailed documentation on configuring data models and relationships in SAP MDG.
