What causes this issue?

The cause of the error that has occurred depends on the error code
issued:
EXCEL_WRONG_VERSION
An old version of Microsoft Excel is installed on your PC. For sales
planning, you need to use Excel 97 or a higher version.
EXCEL_VIEWER_NOT_INSTALLED
Microsoft Excel could not be called up. The cause could be the failed
installation of Microsoft Office or Microsoft Windows.
ERROR_CONNECTING_TO_SAP
Microsoft Excel was called up, the add-in for sales planning is active,
but the RFC connection to the SAP System could not be realized. This
could be due to a network problem or a problem in the SAP RFC Library
on your PC.
PLANNING_ADDIN_NOT_INSTALLED
The add-in for sales planning with local Excel is not installed on your
PC or is not registered in the add-ins manager. Check whether the file
CRMSALESPLANNING.XLA exists on your PC and whether it is found and
selected in Microsoft Excel under <LS>Extras -> Add-Ins Manager</>.
