SAP Error Message - Details

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You have filled a variable for the characteristic &V1& with the
interval &V2& through &V3&. You use this variable in Customizing for
sales planning under <LS>Origin of Responsibilities</>. This means that
the variable forms the basis for determining the responsibilities for
sales planning and thereby the basis for the creation of the worklist.
It is only possible to enter an interval for such a variable if the
values for the characteristic are provided by hierarchy derivation.
This is the case, for example, with a product hierarchy that has the
characteristics <LS>Product Category</> and <LS>Brand</>. In this case,
you can enter an interval for the characteristic <LS>Brand</> because
all available characteristic values are made available by hierarchy
    derivation.
As the <LS>Origin of Responsibilities</>, however, you entered a
variable for a characteristic that is not found in any hierarchy for
hierarchy derivation. In this instance, no interval is permitted for
    the variable for performance reasons.

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

You can do one of the following:
Enter a list of single values for &V1& in place of the interval.
In hierarchy derivation, enter a hierarchy containing the
    characteristic &V1&.
