  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message UCS0247 - Task group &1: Sign-off task &2 is not the last task ?

The SAP error message UCS0247 indicates that there is an issue with the task sequence in a task group. Specifically, it states that the sign-off task (task &2) is not the last task in the task group (task group &1). This error typically arises in the context of SAP's Change Request Management (ChaRM) or similar processes where tasks are organized in a sequence.

    Cause:

The error occurs because the system expects the sign-off task to be the final task in the task group. If there are other tasks that follow the sign-off task, the system cannot process the sign-off correctly, leading to this error message.

    Solution:

To resolve this error, you need to ensure that the sign-off task is indeed the last task in the task group. Here are the steps you can take:

    1. Review Task Group Configuration:

      • Go to the configuration of the task group in question.
      • Check the sequence of tasks and ensure that the sign-off task is positioned at the end of the list.
    2. Rearrange Tasks:

      • If there are tasks that follow the sign-off task, you will need to either remove them or rearrange the order so that the sign-off task is the last one.
    3. Save Changes:

      • After making the necessary adjustments, save the changes to the task group configuration.
    4. Test the Process:

      • Once the changes are made, try to execute the process again to see if the error persists.

    Related Information:

    • Task Groups: In SAP, task groups are used to organize and manage tasks related to change requests, transport requests, or other processes. Each task can have specific roles and responsibilities assigned to it.
    • Sign-off Tasks: These are typically the final steps in a process where approval or confirmation is required before moving forward.
    • SAP Documentation: For more detailed information, refer to the official SAP documentation or help portal related to Change Request Management or the specific module you are working with.

If the issue persists after following these steps, it may be beneficial to consult with your SAP Basis or functional team for further investigation, as there may be additional configurations or dependencies affecting the task group.
