SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message class: UCM0 - Messages for Data Basis, Cons Area, ...

  • Message number: 149

  • Message text: Data model: Definitions of acquired asset and retired asset are invalid

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

In the data model of data basis &V1&, you want to use the characteristic
"&V2&" as the acquired asset and characteristic "&V3&" as the retired
asset. Since both characteristics belong to the data stream for asset
transfers, they need to have different technical field names. In
particular, not only the field names of the characteristics themselves,
but also the field names of the independent characteristics that are not
fixed in the consolidation area need to be different. Nevertheless, the
characteristic "&V4&" is used in the definitions of both
    characteristics. This is invalid.

    System Response

The definition of the data model of data basis &V1& is inconsistent and
cannot be saved in this state.

    How to fix this error?

Check the data model of data basis &V1& and the definitions of
    characteristics "&V2&" and "&V3&".
Make sure that the acquired and retired assets do not overlap with
regards to their independent characteristics. The easiest way to do this
is to remove the direct use of characteristic "&V4&" in the definition
of one of the two characteristics and, instead, to use a different
characteristic (a new one if necessary) that references "&V4&".

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
