    You selected a hierarchy element of characteristic &V1& and chose the
    function <LS>Filter by Selection</>. But the characteristic was already
    restricted to a hierarchy element in the filter.
    You can only restrict the filter to one hierarchy element, not two or
    more.

    The previous filter value is removed from the filter and only the new
    value is applied. If the new filter value lies above the previous filter
    value in the hierarchy, then this operation expands the displayed
    excerpt of the list.
