What causes this issue?

You set an excerpt in the list and then changed the filter.
But the excerpt you set is not contained in the new filter.

System Response

The excerpt is reset; the filter is applied to the complete list and
displayed.

How to fix this error?

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
