What causes this issue?

The sequence of rules is very important when creating derivation rules
for grouping characteristics and account assignment references. The
rules for deriving grouping characteristics must first be executed. Only
then can the rules for deriving account assignment references be listed.
The account assignment reference rules assume that the grouping
characteristics have already been determined.
One or more derivation rules for a grouping characteristic are listed
behind the account assignment reference rule in the list you are
processing. You probably wanted to insert a new rule and did not pay
attention to where the new rule would be inserted into the list.

System Response

The system saves the rule in the sequence you have specified.

How to fix this error?

Move all rules for grouping characteristics to the start of the list.
This is always possible and does not change the outcome of the
derivation. The warning message is no longer output.
When you create a new rule, make sure that you first select the existing
rules which should be listed before the new rule. If you do not select
any rule, the new rule is always inserted at the bottom of the list. The
system will output a warning message if this rule is for deriving
grouping characteristics.

Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
