    Cause:

    1. Incompatible Device Type: The device type assigned to the printer does not support the page format specified in the print request. For example, if the printer is set to a device type that does not support A4 or Letter formats, and a print job is sent in that format, this error may occur.

      • Find the printer in question and check its assigned device type.
      • Ensure that the device type supports the required page format.

      • This can be done in the print settings of the application or report you are trying to print.
    3. Update Printer Configuration:

      • If the printer is not configured correctly, update the printer settings in SPAD.
      • Ensure that the correct device type is assigned and that the printer is set up to handle the desired page formats.
    4. Install or Update Device Type:

      • If the required device type is missing, you may need to install it. This can be done by downloading the appropriate device type from SAP or using the SAP Support Portal.
      • Ensure that the device type is up to date and compatible with the printer.
    5. Consult Documentation:

      • Refer to the documentation for the specific printer model to verify supported page formats and device types.
