The SAP error message SRM_DIS027 indicates that a user does not have the necessary authorization to display at least one element type in the SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) system. This error typically arises when a user attempts to access certain data or functions for which they lack the appropriate permissions.

    Cause:

    1. Authorization Issues: The most common cause of this error is that the user’s role does not include the necessary authorizations to view specific element types (e.g., purchase orders, suppliers, etc.) in the SRM system.
    2. Missing Authorization Objects: The user may be missing specific authorization objects that are required for the transaction or report they are trying to access.
    3. Role Configuration: The roles assigned to the user may not be configured correctly, leading to insufficient access rights.

    Solution:

    1. Check User Roles: Verify the roles assigned to the user in the SAP system. This can be done by navigating to the user management area (Transaction SU01) and checking the roles assigned to the user.
    2. Review Authorization Objects: Identify the specific authorization objects that are required for the element types the user is trying to access. This can be done by consulting with your SAP security team or by reviewing the documentation for the relevant transactions.
    3. Adjust Authorizations: If the user lacks the necessary authorizations, you may need to adjust their roles or create a new role that includes the required authorizations. This typically involves:
      • Using transaction PFCG to modify roles.
      • Adding the necessary authorization objects to the role.
      • Assigning the updated role to the user.
    4. Testing: After making changes, have the user log out and log back in to ensure that the new authorizations take effect. Test the access to confirm that the error no longer occurs.

    Related Information:

    • Authorization Objects: Common authorization objects related to SRM include S_SRM_ALL, S_SRM_DOC, and others specific to the type of data being accessed.
    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with relevant transaction codes such as SU01 (User Maintenance), PFCG (Role Maintenance), and SU53 (Authorization Check) to troubleshoot authorization issues.
