Message text: Object already exists in the circular
You have tried to insert at least one object into the circular, which
is already a part of the record. Each object can only occur once in the
circular, including attachments. You therefore cannot include an object
as both a circular object and an attachment object.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
First delete the object that you want to insert from the circular, and
then re-insert it at the required position. The object is not
physically deleted, and you can use the "Search" function to find it
again.

- Object already exists in the circular ?The SAP error message SRM_DIS025, which states "Object already exists in the circular," typically occurs in the context of SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) when there is an attempt to create or modify a circular reference in the system. This can happen when you are trying to create a new object (like a supplier or a purchasing organization) that already exists in the system or when there is a conflict in the data structure.
Causes:
- Duplicate Entries: The most common cause is that the object you are trying to create or modify already exists in the system. This could be due to a previous entry that was not properly deleted or a duplicate entry being attempted.
- Circular References: The error can also occur if there are circular references in the data model, where an object references itself or creates a loop in the hierarchy.
- Data Consistency Issues: Inconsistent data or corruption in the database can lead to this error, especially if the system is not able to properly identify the relationships between objects.
Solutions:
- Check for Existing Objects: Before creating a new object, check the existing entries in the system to ensure that the object does not already exist. Use transaction codes like
BP
(Business Partner) orME23N
(Display Purchase Order) to verify.- Review Circular References: If you suspect circular references, review the relationships between the objects involved. Ensure that there are no loops in the hierarchy.
- Data Cleanup: If there are duplicate or inconsistent entries, consider cleaning up the data. This may involve deleting or merging duplicate entries.
- Use Transaction Codes: Utilize relevant transaction codes to analyze and manage the objects. For example, use
BP
for business partners orME51N
for creating purchase requisitions.- Consult SAP Notes: Check the SAP Support Portal for any relevant SAP Notes or patches that may address this specific error. There may be known issues or updates that can resolve the problem.
