Message type: E = Error
Message class: SCPR - BC Sets
Message number: 382
Message text: Invalid data records deleted from BC Set &1
Data records which are not valid in this system have been removed from
the BC Set &V1&.
The reason for this could be because:
They are table entries for master and/or transaction data: BC Sets can
only contain entries for customizing tables
They are data records from a system table (e.g. TADIR)
They are data records from a table with forbidden key fields (e.g.
address fields, GUIDs/UUIDs, data type STRING/XSTRING, fields more than
255 characters wide)
They are data records from an explicitly excluded table. This is the
case for some SAP tables which are not to be put in BC Sets for reasons
which the person responsible for the table can explain.
The BC Set has been created, but the data records affected have been
removed, i.e. neither the data records nor the tables/views have been
put in the BC Set.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

SCPR382
- Invalid data records deleted from BC Set &1 ?The SAP error message SCPR382, which states "Invalid data records deleted from BC Set &1," typically occurs in the context of Business Configuration Sets (BC Sets) in SAP. This message indicates that there were invalid data records in the specified BC Set, and these records have been automatically deleted by the system.
Cause:
Invalid Data Records: The error is triggered when the system identifies that certain data records within the BC Set are not valid. This could be due to:
- Missing dependencies or related objects.
- Data inconsistencies or corruption.
- Changes in the underlying data model that render certain records obsolete.
Transport Issues: If the BC Set was transported from one system to another (e.g., from development to production), there might be discrepancies in the data or configuration that lead to invalid records.
Manual Changes: If manual changes were made to the configuration or data that conflict with the existing BC Set, this could also lead to invalid records.
Solution:
Review the BC Set: Check the contents of the BC Set to identify which records were deleted. You can do this by using transaction code SCPR20 (BC Set Management) to analyze the BC Set and its records.
Check Dependencies: Ensure that all necessary dependencies and related objects are present and correctly configured. If any required objects are missing, restore or recreate them.
Recreate the BC Set: If the BC Set is significantly corrupted or invalid, consider recreating it from scratch or restoring it from a backup if available.
Transport Validation: If the issue arose after a transport, validate the transport request to ensure that all necessary objects were included and correctly transported.
Consult Documentation: Review SAP documentation or notes related to the specific BC Set you are working with to understand any known issues or required configurations.
SAP Support: If the problem persists and you cannot identify the cause, consider reaching out to SAP Support for assistance. They may provide specific notes or patches that address the issue.
