S1053
- Mismatch in structure of & in DDIC and extract file ?The SAP error message S1053 indicates a mismatch between the structure of a Data Dictionary (DDIC) object and the structure of an extract file. This typically occurs when there are discrepancies in the field definitions, such as data types, lengths, or the number of fields between the two structures.
Cause:
- Changes in Data Dictionary: If the structure of the DDIC object has been modified (e.g., fields added, removed, or changed) after the extract file was created, this can lead to a mismatch.
- Incorrect Extract File: The extract file being used may not correspond to the current version of the DDIC structure.
- Transport Issues: If the DDIC changes were transported from one system to another (e.g., from development to production), and the extract file was not updated accordingly, this error can occur.
- Versioning Issues: Different versions of the extract file and DDIC structure may lead to incompatibility.
Solution:
- Check DDIC Structure: Verify the current structure of the DDIC object in transaction SE11. Compare it with the structure of the extract file to identify discrepancies.
- Update Extract File: If the DDIC structure has changed, regenerate or update the extract file to match the current DDIC structure.
- Recreate the Extract: If possible, recreate the extract file from the source system to ensure it aligns with the current DDIC structure.
- Transport Consistency: Ensure that all relevant transports have been applied correctly and that the systems are in sync regarding the DDIC structure.
- Consult Documentation: Review any documentation or change logs related to the DDIC object to understand what changes were made and how they might affect the extract file.
