RSO_CTC229
- RDA daemon could not close open delta requests ?The SAP error message RSO_CTC229 indicates that the RDA (Remote Data Access) daemon is unable to close open delta requests. This issue typically arises in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) and can be related to various factors, including system configuration, data consistency, or issues with the delta process itself.
Causes:
- Open Delta Requests: There may be open delta requests that are not being processed correctly, possibly due to data inconsistencies or issues in the source system.
- Locking Issues: There could be locks on the data that prevent the RDA daemon from closing the requests.
- Network Issues: Connectivity problems between the source system and the BW system can lead to incomplete delta processing.
- Configuration Issues: Incorrect configuration of the delta process or the RDA daemon can lead to this error.
- System Performance: High load on the system or performance issues can cause delays in processing delta requests.
Solutions:
- Check Delta Requests: Review the open delta requests in the BW system. You can use transaction codes like
RSA1
to monitor the data flow and check for any stuck requests.- Reprocess Delta Requests: If you identify any problematic delta requests, you may need to reprocess them. This can be done by manually triggering the delta load again.
- Check Locks: Use transaction
SM12
to check for any locks that might be preventing the RDA daemon from closing the requests. If you find any unnecessary locks, you can release them.- Review RDA Configuration: Ensure that the RDA daemon is correctly configured. Check the settings in the RDA configuration and make sure they align with the requirements of your data sources.
- Monitor System Performance: Check the performance of both the BW and source systems. If there are performance bottlenecks, consider optimizing the systems or scheduling delta loads during off-peak hours.
- Check Network Connectivity: Ensure that there are no network issues between the source system and the BW system that could be causing interruptions in the delta process.
- Consult SAP Notes: Look for any relevant SAP Notes that may address this specific error. SAP frequently updates its knowledge base with solutions for known issues.
