RSM2033
- Data not received in &1, but updated in &2 ?The SAP error message RSM2033 indicates that there is a discrepancy between two systems or processes where data was expected to be received in one system (denoted as &1) but was instead updated in another system (denoted as &2). This typically occurs in scenarios involving data transfer between different SAP systems or between an SAP system and an external system.
Cause:
- Data Transfer Issues: The most common cause is a failure in the data transfer process. This could be due to network issues, incorrect configuration, or problems with the middleware used for data transfer.
- Configuration Errors: Incorrect settings in the configuration of the systems involved can lead to data not being sent or received as expected.
- Timing Issues: If the data is being processed in a different sequence or timing than expected, it may lead to this error.
- Authorization Issues: Lack of proper authorizations can prevent data from being received in the target system.
- Data Integrity Issues: If the data being sent is not in the expected format or is incomplete, it may not be processed correctly.
Solution:
- Check Data Transfer Logs: Review the logs for the data transfer process to identify any errors or warnings that may indicate what went wrong.
- Verify Configuration: Ensure that the configuration settings for both systems are correct and that they are set up to communicate with each other properly.
- Network Connectivity: Check the network connectivity between the systems to ensure that there are no issues preventing data transfer.
- Review Authorization: Make sure that the user or process attempting to send or receive the data has the necessary authorizations in both systems.
- Data Validation: Validate the data being sent to ensure it meets the required format and completeness.
- Retry the Process: If the issue was transient, retry the data transfer process to see if it resolves the issue.
