RSDMD158
- & data records in table & marked for deletion ?The SAP error message RSDMD158 typically indicates that there are data records in a specific InfoObject or InfoProvider that are marked for deletion. This can occur in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP BW/4HANA when you are trying to perform operations such as data loading, data extraction, or data modeling.
Cause:
- Data Marked for Deletion: The records in the InfoObject or InfoProvider are marked for deletion, which means they are not available for reporting or further processing.
- Data Consistency Issues: There may be inconsistencies in the data model or data records that are causing the system to flag these records.
- Data Load Issues: If there was an issue during a data load process, it might leave records in a state that is not usable.
Solution:
Check the InfoObject: Review the InfoObject or InfoProvider in question to identify which records are marked for deletion. You can do this by using transaction codes like RSA1 (Data Warehousing Workbench) or RSD1 (InfoObject Maintenance).
Remove Deletion Flag: If the records are indeed needed, you can remove the deletion flag. This can typically be done through the InfoObject maintenance screen or by using specific BW transactions to manage data records.
Data Consistency Check: Run consistency checks on the InfoProvider or InfoObject to ensure that there are no other underlying issues. You can use transaction RSRV for this purpose.
Reprocess Data Loads: If the issue arose during a data load, consider reprocessing the data load to ensure that all records are correctly loaded and that no records are left in a marked-for-deletion state.
Consult Logs: Check the logs for any data load processes or transformations that might provide more context on why the records were marked for deletion.
Backup and Restore: If necessary, consider restoring from a backup if the data is critical and cannot be recreated.
Related Information:
If the problem persists after trying the above solutions, it may be beneficial to consult with your SAP Basis or BW team for further assistance, as they may have more insights into the specific configuration and data model in your environment.
