  • What causes this issue?

    You cannot combine the functions
    Copy
    Distribute
    with the function
    Save account transfer.
In the copy/distribute function, you specify rules to regularly push
forward the dates for the value date. You then can, for example,
specify whether or not items can be planned on a weekend.
These rules are used only for the value date and not for the offsetting
value date, which is not pushed forward. (Using the rules for the
offsetting value date would cause problems if the value date and
offsetting value date were not the same and you specified in this case
that items be planned not on Saturday and Sunday, but on Monday. If,
for example, the value date and offsetting value date are one day apart
when first determined, this difference would change if one of the dates
or both dates were pushed forward to Monday because of the weekend.)
Since the offsetting value date becomes the value date of the second
payment advice when you use the function "save account transfer", the
    two functions cannot be combined.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message RQ126 - Function not possible because copy/distribute function already activated ?

The SAP error message RQ126, which states "Function not possible because copy/distribute function already activated," typically occurs in the context of SAP's data distribution and replication processes, particularly when working with the SAP R/3 system and its various modules.

    Cause:

This error usually arises when a user attempts to perform an action that conflicts with an already activated copy or distribution function. This can happen in scenarios such as:

    1. Concurrent Operations: If a copy or distribution process is already running, attempting to initiate another operation that requires the same resources or data can trigger this error.
    2. Configuration Issues: There may be misconfigurations in the settings related to data distribution or replication.
    3. Locking Mechanisms: SAP uses locking mechanisms to prevent data inconsistencies. If a lock is in place due to an ongoing process, it can lead to this error.

    Solution:

To resolve the RQ126 error, you can take the following steps:

    1. Check Active Processes: Verify if there are any ongoing copy or distribution processes. You can do this by checking transaction codes like SM37 (Job Monitoring) to see if there are any jobs currently running that might be causing the conflict.

    2. Wait for Completion: If you find that a process is running, you may need to wait for it to complete before attempting your action again.

    3. Cancel or Terminate Jobs: If a job is stuck or taking too long, you may need to cancel or terminate it. Be cautious with this step, as it can lead to data inconsistencies if not handled properly.

    4. Review Configuration: Check the configuration settings related to the copy/distribute functions in the relevant modules (e.g., SAP BW, SAP CRM). Ensure that they are set up correctly and that there are no conflicting settings.

    5. Consult Logs: Look into the application logs (transaction SLG1) for more detailed information about the error and any related issues that might provide further insights.

    6. Contact SAP Support: If the issue persists and you cannot identify the cause, consider reaching out to SAP support for assistance. They can provide more specific guidance based on your system configuration and the context of the error.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with relevant transaction codes such as SM37 for job monitoring, SLG1 for application logs, and SE38 for executing reports.
    • SAP Notes: Check the SAP Support Portal for any relevant SAP Notes that might address this specific error or provide patches and updates.
