When you hire a new employee, the system automatically creates the
external person ID and stores it in <ZK>infotype 0709</>. When you
enter an additional personnel assignment, the external person ID is
transferred by the copy mechanism for infotypes.
The generation rule you use to create the external person ID is defined
in Customizing.
Generation rule &V1& is not supported.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
