Message type: E = Error
Message class: QS - QM: Master data
Message number: 860
Message text: Batch &1 &2 &3 can only be partially valuated
At least one class characteristic cannot be valuated by QM. This is
because the measured value is not within the allowed value range for
the class characteristic assigned to the master inspection
characteristic.
In addition, values already exist in the batch classification for the
some of the class characteristics that cannot be valuated.
You now have the following options:
Choose <LS>Yes</>.
In this case, all class characteristics for which a valuation is
possible are valuated with the measured values from QM.
For the class characteristics that cannot be valuated by QM (because
the measured values are not within the allowed value range for the
class characteristics), the existing values in the batch classification
are deleted.
Choose <LS>No</>.
In this case, all class characteristics for which a valuation is
possible are valuated with the measured values from QM.
For the class characteristics that cannot be valuated by QM (because
the measured values are not within the allowed value range for the
class characteristics), the existing values in the batch classification
are retained.
Choose <LS>Compare batch values</>.
Before you decide to choose one of the functions above, you can display
a list which compares the measured values in QM with the values
contained in the batch.
Choose <LS>Cancel</>.
You must differentiate between two cases, depending on the transaction
you are currently in:
If you are in the transaction for <ZH>recording results for an
inspection point</>, you return to the screen for the inspection point
data. On this screen, you can assign a new partial lot or batch to the
inspection point, if necessary.
If you are in the transaction for the <ZH>usage decision</>, all class
characteristics for which a valuation is possible are valuated with the
measured values supplied by QM.
For the general characteristics that cannot be valuated by QM (because
the measured values are not within the allowed value range for the
class characteristics), the existing values in the batch classification
are retained.

QS860
- Batch &1 &2 &3 can only be partially valuated ?The SAP error message QS860 indicates that a batch (identified by the batch number and other identifiers) can only be partially valuated. This typically occurs in the context of batch management and valuation in SAP, particularly in the areas of inventory management and production planning.
Cause:
The error message QS860 can be triggered by several factors, including:
Partial Stock Availability: The batch may have a portion of its stock that is not available for valuation due to various reasons, such as being in a blocked stock, quality inspection stock, or reserved for a specific purpose.
Batch Characteristics: If the batch has characteristics that are not fully defined or if there are discrepancies in the batch data, it may lead to partial valuation.
Stock Type Issues: The stock type of the batch may not allow for full valuation. For example, if some of the stock is in a status that does not permit valuation (like blocked stock), it can lead to this error.
Valuation Class Issues: If the valuation class assigned to the material is not set up correctly, it may cause issues with how the batch is valued.
Configuration Issues: There may be configuration issues in the material master or batch management settings that prevent full valuation.
Solution:
To resolve the QS860 error, you can take the following steps:
Check Batch Status: Review the status of the batch in question. Ensure that all stock is available for valuation and that there are no restrictions (like being in quality inspection or blocked stock).
Review Batch Characteristics: Ensure that all necessary characteristics for the batch are properly defined and that there are no discrepancies.
Inspect Stock Types: Check the stock types associated with the batch. If any stock is in a non-valuation status, consider moving it to a status that allows for valuation.
Validate Material Master Settings: Review the material master data for the relevant material. Ensure that the valuation class and other settings are correctly configured.
Consult with SAP Support: If the issue persists after checking the above points, it may be beneficial to consult with SAP support or your internal SAP team for further investigation.
