QF059
- Entries generated by valuation cannot be deleted manually ?The SAP error message QF059 ("Entries generated by valuation cannot be deleted manually") typically occurs in the context of Quality Management (QM) when you attempt to delete inspection lot entries that have been generated as a result of valuation processes. This error indicates that the system has restrictions in place to prevent the manual deletion of these entries to maintain data integrity and consistency.
Cause:
- Valuation Entries: The entries you are trying to delete are linked to valuation processes, which means they are part of the system's quality management and valuation records.
- Data Integrity: SAP enforces rules to ensure that important data related to quality management is not inadvertently deleted, which could lead to inconsistencies in reporting and analysis.
- Status of Inspection Lot: The inspection lot may be in a status that does not allow for manual deletion of entries.
Solution:
- Check Inspection Lot Status: Ensure that the inspection lot is in a status that allows for modifications. If the lot is completed or has been processed in a way that locks certain entries, you may need to change its status or reverse certain processes.
- Use Correct Transactions: Instead of trying to delete the entries manually, use the appropriate SAP transactions to manage inspection lots and their associated entries. For example, you might need to use transaction codes like
QA02
(Change Inspection Lot) orQA11
(Record Results) to manage the lot properly.- Consult Documentation: Review SAP documentation or help files related to Quality Management to understand the implications of deleting entries and the correct procedures to follow.
- System Configuration: If you believe that the deletion should be allowed, consult with your SAP administrator or technical team to review the configuration settings related to quality management and valuation entries.
- Custom Development: In some cases, if there is a business need to allow deletion, custom development may be required to change the behavior of the system, but this should be approached with caution and thorough testing.
