Message type: E = Error
Message class: QA - QM : Inspection lots
Message number: 077
Message text: No inspection lot could be determined for document item & & & &
The system selected several inspection lots, so you require a selection
screen, on which you can mark one inspection lot. However, no selection
screen is called as a result of the I_NO_DIALOG parameter.
An automatic inspection lot correction cannot be made for this document
item.
You can either specify the inspection lot number that you want to
correct, or you can manually call the transaction that creates a
balancing entry for the negative inventory difference.

QA077
- No inspection lot could be determined for document item & & & & ?The SAP error message QA077 ("No inspection lot could be determined for document item & & & &") typically occurs in the Quality Management (QM) module when the system is unable to find an inspection lot for a specific document item, such as a purchase order or production order. This can happen for several reasons, and understanding the cause is essential for resolving the issue.
Causes of QA077 Error
No Inspection Lot Created: The most common reason is that no inspection lot has been created for the document item in question. This can happen if the inspection lot creation is not triggered due to configuration settings or if the relevant quality inspection process was not followed.
Incorrect Document Item: The document item referenced may not be linked to any inspection lot. This can occur if the item is not relevant for quality inspection or if it has been processed in a way that bypasses inspection.
Configuration Issues: There may be issues with the configuration settings in the Quality Management module. For example, the inspection type may not be correctly assigned to the material or the document type.
Status of the Document: The document item may be in a status that does not allow for inspection lot creation. For example, if the item is already delivered or completed, the system may not create an inspection lot.
Batch Management: If batch management is enabled, the batch may not be properly assigned or may not exist, leading to the inability to create an inspection lot.

SAP messages fall into 3 different categories: Error messages
(message type = E), Warnings (W) or Informational (I) messages.
An error message will prevent you from continuing your work - it is a hard stop and you need to fix the error before you can proceed. A warning message will stop your work, however, you can then bypass the warning by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. That said, it is still good practice to investigate the cause of the warning message and address it. An information message will not stop your work and is truly just for informational purposes.
