Message text: Delete the structure table(s) first
You want to activate archive information structure &V1&. The system has
established that a database table has already been generated for this
archive information structure. However, the database table no longer
corresponds with the structure's field information.
You have probably changed the field information belonging to archive
information structure &V1&.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
If you make a change to the archive information structure you must
delete the database table. Use the function <ZK>Tools</> -> <ZK>Delete
table</> in the Archive Information System Customizing to do this.
If the changes to the archive information structure fields were not
intentional, you must first reverse these before you can reactivate the
archive information structure.

Q6003
- Delete the structure table(s) first ?The SAP error message Q6003, which states "Delete the structure table(s) first," typically occurs in the context of Quality Management (QM) module when you are trying to delete a quality inspection plan or a related object that has associated structure tables. This error indicates that there are dependencies or linked tables that need to be addressed before the deletion can proceed.
Cause:
- Dependent Structure Tables: The object you are trying to delete has associated structure tables that must be deleted first. These tables may contain data or references that prevent the deletion of the main object.
- Data Integrity Constraints: SAP enforces data integrity, and if there are references to the object in other tables, it will not allow deletion to maintain consistency.
Solution:
To resolve the Q6003 error, follow these steps:
Identify the Structure Tables: Determine which structure tables are associated with the object you are trying to delete. This can often be found in the documentation or by checking the database schema.
Delete the Structure Tables: Before you can delete the main object, you need to delete the associated structure tables. This can typically be done through transaction codes like SE11 (Data Dictionary) or SE14 (Database Utility) to manage the tables directly.
Check for Dependencies: Use transaction codes like SE11 or SE80 to check for any dependencies or references to the object in other parts of the system. Ensure that all dependencies are resolved.
Use Transaction Codes: If you are working with Quality Management, you might use transaction codes like QP01 (Create Inspection Plan), QP02 (Change Inspection Plan), or QP03 (Display Inspection Plan) to manage inspection plans and their associated data.
Consult Documentation: If you are unsure about which tables to delete or how to proceed, consult SAP documentation or reach out to your SAP Basis or QM module expert for guidance.
Backup Data: Before making any deletions, ensure that you have a backup of the data in case you need to restore it later.
