Conversion is only necessary if the original system has a release
    status of 4.6C or above.
For more information, see the documentation on the conversion report (
    <DS:RE.RPU46CX_CENTRAL_PERSON_ONLINE>RPU46CX_CENTRAL_PERSON_ONLINE</>).

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message PX095 - Employees in client &1 are not converted, as ALE is active. ?

The SAP error message PX095 indicates that employees in a specific client (denoted by &1) are not converted because ALE (Application Link Enabling) is active. This typically occurs during the process of data migration or conversion, particularly when using the SAP Employee Central or similar modules.

    Cause:

    1. ALE Configuration: The error arises when ALE is active in the system. ALE is used for data distribution between different SAP systems or clients. If ALE is active, it may prevent certain data conversion processes from executing as expected.
    2. Data Locking: The presence of active ALE settings can lock certain data records, preventing them from being converted or migrated.
    3. Inconsistent Data: There may be inconsistencies in the employee data that need to be resolved before conversion can proceed.

    Solution:

    1. Deactivate ALE: If possible, deactivate ALE for the duration of the employee conversion process. This can be done in the system settings. However, ensure that this does not disrupt other processes that rely on ALE.

      • You can check the ALE settings in transaction WE20 (Partner Profiles) and SALE (ALE Configuration).
    2. Check Data Consistency: Ensure that all employee data is consistent and does not have any issues that could prevent conversion. This may involve running data validation checks or reports to identify problematic records.

    3. Use Alternative Conversion Methods: If deactivating ALE is not feasible, consider using alternative methods for data conversion that are compatible with ALE. This may involve using specific tools or transactions designed for data migration in an ALE environment.

    4. Consult Documentation: Review SAP documentation or notes related to the specific version of SAP you are using. There may be specific guidelines or patches available that address this issue.

    5. Contact SAP Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to SAP support for assistance. They may provide insights or solutions based on the specific configuration and version of your SAP system.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with relevant transaction codes such as WE20, SALE, and any specific transaction used for employee data conversion.
    • SAP Notes: Search for SAP Notes related to error message PX095 or employee conversion issues. SAP Notes often contain fixes or workarounds for known issues.
    • ALE Documentation: Review the ALE documentation to understand how it interacts with employee data and what configurations may affect data conversion.
