POC_MODEL054
- Inconsistent combination of start activity/task and end activity/task ?The SAP error message POC_MODEL054 indicates that there is an inconsistency in the combination of start and end activities or tasks within a process model. This error typically arises in the context of SAP Process Orchestration (PO) or SAP Business Process Management (BPM) when defining workflows or process models.
Cause:
The error can occur due to several reasons, including:
Incorrect Configuration: The start and end activities/tasks may not be properly linked or configured. For example, an end task may not be reachable from the start task due to missing transitions or incorrect flow definitions.
Missing Activities: There may be activities that are referenced in the process model but are not defined or are missing from the model.
Logical Errors: The logical flow of the process may be incorrect, such as having an end task that does not logically follow from the start task.
Versioning Issues: If there are multiple versions of the process model, there may be inconsistencies between them.
Solution:
To resolve the POC_MODEL054 error, you can follow these steps:
Review the Process Model: Open the process model in the SAP Process Modeling tool and carefully review the flow from the start activity/task to the end activity/task. Ensure that all transitions are correctly defined.
Check Activity Links: Ensure that all activities are properly linked. Each start activity should have a clear path to the end activity. If there are any missing links, add them.
Validate Activities: Make sure that all activities referenced in the process model are defined and active. If any activities are missing, you may need to create or activate them.
Check for Logical Flow: Ensure that the logical flow of the process makes sense. Each task should lead to the next in a coherent manner.
Test the Model: After making corrections, test the process model to ensure that it runs without errors.
Consult Documentation: If the issue persists, refer to SAP documentation or community forums for additional insights or similar cases.
Seek Support: If you are unable to resolve the issue, consider reaching out to SAP support or your internal SAP team for further assistance.
