The screen contents were changed and "Delete" was chosen before
"Enter".
The delete function can only be used after the screen contents has been
updated by the program (by choosing "Enter") for the following reason:
If, for example, one character number is overwritten by another, the
new character number is added to the list of character numbers when the
screen contents are updated. This means that the screen lines can
shift. It is not possible to select a screen line for deletion. In
order to prevent this, this delete option was removed.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Choose "Enter", then, if necessary, position the cursor on the line to
be deleted and choose "Delete".
