PMMO_BASIS026
- Too many measurements (&1) - Only summarized data will be displayed ?The SAP error message PMMO_BASIS026 indicates that there are too many measurement documents (or measurement entries) for a particular object, and as a result, only summarized data will be displayed. This typically occurs in the context of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) or similar modules where measurement documents are recorded.
Cause:
- Excessive Measurement Entries: The primary cause of this error is that the number of measurement entries associated with a particular object (like a piece of equipment or a functional location) exceeds the system's threshold for displaying detailed data.
- System Configuration: The system may be configured to limit the number of measurement documents displayed for performance reasons.
- Data Volume: High data volume in the measurement documents table can lead to performance issues, prompting the system to summarize data instead of displaying all entries.
Solution:
- Summarization: Accept that only summarized data will be displayed. If detailed data is necessary, consider filtering or limiting the data set.
- Data Management: Review and manage the measurement documents:
- Archive old or unnecessary measurement documents to reduce the volume.
- Implement a regular data maintenance strategy to keep the number of measurement entries manageable.
- Configuration Adjustments: If you have the necessary permissions, you can check the configuration settings related to measurement documents in the SAP system. Consult with your SAP Basis or PM module administrator to see if adjustments can be made to increase the threshold for displaying detailed data.
- Use of Reports: Utilize standard or custom reports that can handle larger datasets or provide the necessary details without hitting the threshold.
