How To Fix PLM_FMEA_APPL613 - &1 (&2) in &3: No proposal for target probability of occurrence exists

SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: PLM_FMEA_APPL - FMEA - Message

  • Message number: 613

  • Message text: &1 (&2) in &3: No proposal for target probability of occurrence exists

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The target value for the probability of occurrence could not be
determined for the list item &V1& (&V2&) in &V3&.

    System Response

If an actual value was determined for the probability of occurrence, but
no target value exists because of preventive actions that were not yet
confirmed, the target value is the same as the actual value. If,
however, no actual value was determined for the probability of
occurrence, the valuation proposal for the valuation profile assigned to
the list type of the list item is taken as the target value. However,
the system could not determine a valuation proposal.
If a risk matrix is defined and it contains an axis definition for the
valuation category <ZK>probability of occurrence</>, list items with an
initial target value for the probability of occurrence in the target
analysis are not taken into account in the risk matrix.

    How to fix this error?

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

Smart SAP Assistant

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message PLM_FMEA_APPL613 - &1 (&2) in &3: No proposal for target probability of occurrence exists ?

The SAP error message PLM_FMEA_APPL613 typically occurs in the context of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) within the SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) module. This error indicates that there is no proposal for the target probability of occurrence for a specific failure mode in the FMEA process.

    Cause:

The error can arise due to several reasons:

    1. Missing Data: The target probability of occurrence may not be defined in the system for the specific failure mode or for the associated risk assessment.
    2. Configuration Issues: The FMEA configuration settings may not be properly set up, leading to the absence of proposals for target values.
    3. Incomplete Master Data: The relevant master data (like risk categories or failure modes) may not be fully maintained or linked correctly.
    4. Versioning Issues: If the FMEA document is in a specific version that does not have the necessary proposals defined, this error can occur.

    Solution:

To resolve the error, you can take the following steps:

    1. Check FMEA Configuration:

      • Ensure that the FMEA configuration settings are correctly defined in the system. This includes checking the settings for risk assessment and target values.
    2. Define Target Values:

      • Go to the FMEA settings and define the target probability of occurrence for the relevant failure modes. This can usually be done in the FMEA template or through the risk assessment settings.
    3. Review Master Data:

      • Verify that all necessary master data related to the FMEA process is complete and correctly maintained. This includes checking the failure modes, effects, and associated risk categories.
    4. Update FMEA Document:

      • If the FMEA document is in a specific version, consider updating it to the latest version where the target values are defined.
    5. Consult Documentation:

      • Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance on configuring FMEA and defining target values.
    6. Contact SAP Support:

      • If the issue persists after checking the above points, consider reaching out to SAP support for further assistance. They may provide insights specific to your system configuration.

    Related Information:

    • FMEA Process: Understanding the FMEA process and its components (failure modes, effects, severity, occurrence, and detection) is crucial for effective risk management.
    • SAP PLM Documentation: Familiarize yourself with SAP PLM documentation related to FMEA to understand best practices and configuration options.
    • Training: Consider training sessions or workshops on SAP PLM and FMEA to enhance your understanding and ability to troubleshoot similar issues in the future.

By following these steps, you should be able to address the PLM_FMEA_APPL613 error and ensure that your FMEA process runs smoothly.
