  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message MN765 - No data available in any version of LIS structure & ?

The SAP error message MN765 "No data available in any version of LIS structure" typically occurs when you are trying to access data in the Logistics Information System (LIS) and the system cannot find any relevant data for the specified criteria. This can happen for various reasons, and here are some common causes, solutions, and related information:

    Causes:

    1. No Data Loaded: The LIS structure you are trying to access may not have any data loaded. This can happen if the data extraction process has not been executed or if there are no transactions that meet the criteria.

    2. Incorrect Selection Criteria: The selection criteria you are using to retrieve data may be too restrictive or incorrect, leading to no data being found.

    3. Data Extraction Issues: There may be issues with the data extraction process (e.g., the InfoPackage for data extraction has not been executed or has failed).

    4. Data Deletion: Data may have been deleted or archived, making it unavailable for reporting.

    5. Authorization Issues: The user may not have the necessary authorizations to view the data in the LIS structure.

    Solutions:

    1. Check Data Loading: Ensure that the data has been loaded into the LIS structure. You can do this by checking the relevant InfoCube or InfoObject in the data warehouse.

    2. Review Selection Criteria: Re-evaluate the selection criteria you are using. Try broadening the criteria to see if any data is returned.

    3. Run Data Extraction: If data has not been loaded, run the data extraction process to populate the LIS structure. This may involve executing the relevant InfoPackage or data transfer process.

    4. Check for Data Deletion: Verify if any data has been deleted or archived. If so, you may need to restore it or adjust your reporting to account for this.

    5. Authorization Check: Ensure that the user has the necessary authorizations to access the data in the LIS structure. You may need to consult with your SAP security team.

    6. Use Transaction Codes: Utilize transaction codes like LBW0 (for LIS) to check the status of the data and ensure that the relevant data is available.

    Related Information:

    • LIS Structures: Understand the specific LIS structure you are working with (e.g., Sales, Inventory, etc.) and its data loading requirements.
    • Data Sources: Familiarize yourself with the data sources feeding into the LIS and ensure they are functioning correctly.
    • SAP Notes: Check SAP Notes for any known issues or patches related to the LIS structure you are using.
    • Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation for detailed information on LIS and data extraction processes.

If the issue persists after trying the above solutions, it may be beneficial to consult with your SAP support team or refer to SAP's official support channels for further assistance.
