The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- Ensure that the base unit of measure is specified in the Basic Data view. If it is missing, enter the appropriate unit of measure (e.g., EA for each, KG for kilograms, etc.).
Review Material Type Configuration:
- If the base unit of measure is not being saved or is missing, check the configuration of the material type in the IMG (Implementation Guide).
- Navigate to
Logistics - General > Material Master > Basic Settings > Material Types
and ensure that the settings for the material type allow for a base unit of measure.Data Consistency Check:
