What causes this issue?

The <LS>Material for process</> indicator is set for material type
&V1&. This means the material is used to represent a process in joint
production in which <DS:GLOS.co-product>co-products</> are produced.
It is currently not possible to use costing functions for these
materials. To prevent inconsistencies, the system does not allow you to
assign such materials to a cost object hierarchy.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
