What causes this issue?

With this function, the value fields of a data structure even of an
existing database table are released for selective deletion, this means
the default ADD-FIELDS technique (only addition of new fields
permitted) is exited.

How to fix this error?

You can now delete value fields from the data structure; the data
structure is updated when you save.
An error will usually occur when you activate (data must be converted).
After the log is output from the mass activator, you can call up the
database utility (SE14) and use it to convert the data.
Only start this conversion if no other errors are reported in the mass
activator log. Note also that forms in layout entry and reporting may
also need to be revised if they reference value fields that were
deleted from the data structure.
