Message text: Layout &1 and classification do not intersect
You want to display characteristics in a single-level Plant Maintenance
list. You have selected some objects in the list and have switched on
the display of characteristics by choosing <ZK>Settings</> -> <ZK>
Show/Hide Classification</>.
The system issues this message if there are no characteristics that
belong both to the class you selected and to layout &V1&. This can be
due to one of the following reasons:
You have selected more than one class in the selection dialog box. You
saved layout &V1& as the default layout, thus specifying that the system
should display the classification characteristics as defined in layout
&V1&. There are no characteristics that are assigned to the classes you
selected and are also assigned to the default layout &V1&.
You want to display the characteristics of a specific class, so you
chose <ZK>Layout for Characteristics</> and selected layout &V1&.
However, none of the characteristics that belong to the class you
selected are displayed by this layout.
The system only displays classification characteristics if they not only
belong to the selected classes but also are part of layout &V1&. Since
there are no characteristics that are shared by both the selected
classes and by layout &V1&, the system does not display any
characteristics.
Select different classes, select a different layout, or undo the default
setting for layout &V1&. If you do not want to change the selected
classes or the predefined layout, you can choose the <PF>Layout for
Characteristics</> pushbutton to manually copy up to 20 characteristics
from the selected classes to the list.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

SAP messages fall into 3 different categories: Error messages
(message type = E), Warnings (W) or Informational (I) messages.
An error message will prevent you from continuing your work - it is a hard stop and you need to fix the error before you can proceed. A warning message will stop your work, however, you can then bypass the warning by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. That said, it is still good practice to investigate the cause of the warning message and address it. An information message will not stop your work and is truly just for informational purposes.
