This typically occurs in the context of SAP CRM (Customer Relationship Management) or SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) when trying to assign an object to an IBase that is already associated with another IBase.
Cause:
- Duplicate Assignment: The object you are trying to assign is already linked to another IBase. This can happen if the object was previously assigned to a different customer or installation.

Solution:
- Check Current Assignments: Verify the current IBase assignments for the object in question. You can do this by navigating to the IBase management transaction in SAP and checking the details of the object.
- Remove from Previous IBase: If the object needs to be moved to a new IBase, you may need to first remove it from the existing IBase. This can usually be done through the IBase management transaction.
- Use the Correct IBase: Ensure that you are trying to assign the object to the correct IBase. If the object is meant to be part of a different IBase, you should proceed with that assignment instead.
