Message number: 213
Message text: PAN exists in EC Payroll system (Infotype 0185) and can't be deleted.
There is PAN information for the employee in the Employee Central
Payroll system, but not in Employee Central.
Therefore, master data replication from Employee Central to Employee
Central Payroll is trying to overwrite, or delete, the PAN Card
information in Employee Central Payroll.
The deletion is not allowed: If an employee already has PAN information
in Employee Central Payroll, only updating it is allowed.
Replication fails.
Take the following steps before starting the replication again:
In the Employee Central Payroll system, go to the <LS>Maintain HR Master
Data </>(PA30) transaction.
Check the PAN Number for the employee in the <LS>Personnal IDs </>(0185)
infotype.
Do one of the following:
If the PAN Number is correct, add the same PAN Card for the employee in
the <LS>National IDs</> portlet in Employee Central.
If the PAN Number is not correct, either delete it from infotype 0185 or
add the correct PAN Card in the <LS>National IDs</> portlet in Employee
Central.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- PAN exists in EC Payroll system (Infotype 0185) and can't be deleted. ?The SAP error message "HRSFEC_SERVICES213: PAN exists in EC Payroll system (Infotype 0185) and can't be deleted" typically occurs in the context of managing employee data in the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) Payroll system. This error indicates that there is a Personal Account Number (PAN) associated with an employee in Infotype 0185, which is preventing the deletion of the record.
Cause:
Existing PAN: The primary cause of this error is that the employee has a Personal Account Number (PAN) recorded in Infotype 0185, which is used for payroll processing. Since this information is critical for payroll calculations and reporting, the system does not allow the deletion of the record if it is still in use.
Data Integrity: SAP enforces data integrity rules to ensure that essential payroll information is not inadvertently deleted, which could lead to inconsistencies in payroll processing.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you can take the following steps:
Check Infotype 0185: Review the employee's Infotype 0185 to confirm that a PAN is indeed present. You can do this by accessing the employee's data in the SAP system.
Evaluate Necessity of PAN: Determine if the PAN is still required for the employee. If the employee is no longer active or if the PAN is no longer needed, you may need to take additional steps to remove or update the PAN.
Update or Remove PAN:
- If the PAN is no longer needed, you may need to follow the appropriate process to remove it. This could involve changing the employee's status or following specific procedures defined by your organization for handling such cases.
- If the PAN needs to be retained for payroll purposes, you may need to consider other options, such as updating the employee's record rather than deleting it.
Consult with Payroll Team: If you are unsure about the implications of removing the PAN or how to proceed, consult with your payroll or HR team. They can provide guidance on the correct procedures and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
System Configuration: In some cases, the error may be related to system configuration. If you believe this is the case, you may need to involve your SAP technical team to review the configuration settings related to Infotype 0185 and payroll processing.
Related Information:
By following these steps, you should be able to address the error and manage the employee's payroll information appropriately.
