- No number range assigned to contract object type &1 ?The SAP error message HRPIQ00HRBP191 indicates that there is no number range assigned to a specific contract object type in the system. This error typically occurs in the context of SAP's Human Capital Management (HCM) module, particularly when dealing with contract management or personnel administration.
Cause:
The error is caused by the absence of a defined number range for the specified contract object type. In SAP, number ranges are used to generate unique identifiers for various objects, including contracts. If a number range is not assigned, the system cannot create or manage instances of that object type.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you need to assign a number range to the relevant contract object type. Here are the steps to do this:
Access the Number Range Configuration:
- Go to the SAP Easy Access screen.
- Navigate to the following path:
SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG -> Personnel Management -> Personnel Administration -> Customizing Procedures -> Number Ranges -> Define Number Ranges
Define a Number Range:
- In the number range configuration, check if a number range exists for the contract object type that is causing the error.
- If it does not exist, create a new number range by specifying the range of numbers and the object type.
Assign the Number Range:
- After defining the number range, ensure that it is assigned to the appropriate contract object type.
- This can usually be done in the same configuration area or in a related section where object types are managed.
Test the Configuration:
- After making the changes, test the functionality that was previously causing the error to ensure that the issue is resolved.
