Message type: E = Error
Message class: HRPAYDEE2 - Message Class ELStAM Procedure
Message number: 420
Message text: Change as of &1 results in update to IT 0012 as of &2
An ELStAM notification with the valid-from date &V1& exists, however the
tax year is already closed and will not be reopened. The data for the
<LS>Fiscal Data D</> (0012) infotype will only be updated from &V2&.
In the process logic, the check to see whether future infotype data that
already exists in the system can be updated is performed only
afterwards. If this is not possible due to different ELStAM data, the
message "Fiscal data after &V1& is not changed by the response on &V2&"
is also issued. The first message is therefore obsolete.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- Change as of &1 results in update to IT 0012 as of &2 ?The SAP error message HRPAYDEE2420, which states "Change as of &1 results in update to IT 0012 as of &2," typically occurs in the context of personnel administration and payroll processing in SAP HR (Human Resources) modules. This error is related to infotype (IT) 0012, which is used for "Additional Payments" in SAP HR.
Cause:
The error is triggered when there is a conflict in the date validity of the changes being made to an employee's infotype records. Specifically, it indicates that a change made on a certain date (as of &1) is trying to update IT 0012 with a validity date that is different from the existing records (as of &2). This can happen due to:
- Overlapping Validity Periods: If there are existing records in IT 0012 that overlap with the date of the change, the system will not allow the update.
- Incorrect Date Entry: The date entered for the change may not align with the existing records in the infotype.
- Missing Records: If there are no valid records for the specified date, the system may not be able to process the change correctly.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you can take the following steps:
Check Existing Records: Review the existing entries in IT 0012 for the employee in question. Ensure that there are no overlapping records that would conflict with the change you are trying to make.
Adjust Dates: If the change date (as of &1) and the existing record date (as of &2) are conflicting, you may need to adjust the dates accordingly. Ensure that the change you are making does not overlap with existing records.
Delete or Modify Conflicting Records: If necessary, you may need to delete or modify the conflicting records in IT 0012 to allow for the new change to be processed.
Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or your organization's HR policies to ensure that you are following the correct procedures for making changes to infotype records.
Use Transaction Codes: Utilize transaction codes such as PA30 (Maintain HR Master Data) to view and edit infotype records.
