    itself. Generally, this does not make any sense.
    The only exception to this is if you want to <LS>prevent</> the
    automatic grouping of this absence with a previous absence. In this case
    it would make sense to link the current absence to itself as entering it
    manually would override the automatic grouping.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
