HRPANL_EN276
- Other records will be overwritten with the add. parental leave provided. ?The SAP error message HRPANL_EN276 typically occurs in the context of managing parental leave records in the SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) module. This error indicates that there is a conflict with existing records when trying to add new parental leave data for an employee. Specifically, it suggests that the system has detected that other records will be overwritten if the new entry is added.
Cause:
- Overlapping Dates: The most common cause of this error is that the new parental leave request overlaps with existing leave records for the same employee. SAP does not allow overlapping leave periods to ensure accurate leave management and reporting.
- Incorrect Configuration: There may be configuration issues in the leave management settings that do not allow for multiple records to coexist.
- Data Entry Errors: There could be mistakes in the data entry, such as incorrect dates or leave types that conflict with existing records.
Solution:
- Check Existing Records: Review the employee's existing parental leave records to identify any overlaps. You can do this by navigating to the relevant infotype (e.g., Infotype 2001 for Absences) and checking the dates.
- Adjust Dates: If there is an overlap, you may need to adjust the dates of the new parental leave request or modify the existing records to ensure there are no conflicts.
- Delete or Modify Conflicting Records: If the existing records are no longer valid or need to be changed, consider deleting or modifying them to accommodate the new parental leave request.
- Consult Configuration: If the issue persists, consult with your SAP HCM configuration team to ensure that the system settings allow for the desired leave management processes.
- User Training: Ensure that users entering leave requests are trained on how to check for existing records and avoid overlaps.
