This typically occurs in the context of HR (Human Resources) processes, particularly when dealing with personnel numbers, employee IDs, or other identifiers that require unique numbering.
Cause:
- Exhausted Number Range: The most common cause is that the defined number range for the specific ID has been fully utilized. This can happen if the number range is not large enough to accommodate the volume of records being created.
- Configuration Issues: There may be a misconfiguration in the number range settings, such as incorrect intervals or limits set in the number range object.

- Verify the intervals and ensure that there are sufficient numbers available in the range.
Extend the Number Range:

- Modifying the existing number range to increase the upper limit.
- Creating a new number range if necessary.
- Ensure that the new range does not overlap with existing ranges.
Review Date Settings:
- Check if there are any date-specific settings that might be causing the number range to reset or limit the available numbers.
- Adjust the settings if needed to ensure continuity.
Consult Documentation:
- Review SAP documentation or notes related to the specific number range object to understand any peculiarities or additional configurations that may be required.
Testing:
