however, one of the prerequisites has not been fulfilled. An RPI cannot
be created if there is no preceding absence, or if the end date for the
preceding absence is not consistent with the start date of the RPI
period.
The system has identified that one of the following prerequisites should
be fulfilled before the RPI can be saved:
The RPI requires a preceding absence
An absence record for this employee must exist before the start date of
the RPI period.
There are no working days between the preceding absence and the RPI
period.
No working days are allowed between the end date of the preceding
absence and the start date of the RPI period.

This warning message can also occur when an employee is hired during the
RPI or the preceding absences are no longer available (e.g. after a
go-live). In these cases, the warning can be ignored.
You must check the dates for the RPI period or the absence record. If
necessary, maintain the dates for the absence record, or change the
start date of the RPI period.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
