Message text: Several consistent dependent coverages exist for plan & / option &
When terminating COBRA-qualified dependents' coverage under the
employee's health plans, the system tries to adjust the dependent
coverage options so that they are consistent with the type(s) and
number(s) of family members, if any, who will remain covered with the
employee.
However, for plan &V1& / option &V2& more than one dependent coverage
option was found with a definition consistent with the set of
dependents remaining covered after the COBRA qualifying event.
On the infotype <ZK>Health Plans</> (0167), the dependent coverage
option of plan &V1& / option &V2& is adjusted to the first consistent
value found, although this may not be the appropriate choice (for
example, the least expensive option).
You do not necessarily need to make any adjustments, since the
employee's <ZK>Health Plans</> records (infotype 0167) are still
consistent. However, to enable the system to find a single option that
is appropriate, we recommend that you set up unique dependent coverage
options for every given combination of dependent types and numbers as
follows:
Ensure that dependent coverage options are set up for all possible
combinations of dependent types and numbers in Benefits Customizing, in
the activities <LS>Define Dependent Coverage Options</> and <LS>Define
Minimum and Maximum Number of Dependents</>.
In the Customizing activity <LS>Assign Health Plan Attributes</>, make
sure that these dependent coverage options are assigned to the
combination of plan &V1& / option &V2&.
