GR103
- Only individual values can be entered for characteristic & ?The SAP error message GR103 ("Only individual values can be entered for characteristic &") typically occurs in the context of classification and characteristics in SAP, particularly when dealing with characteristics that are defined as "single-value" characteristics. This means that the characteristic is set up to accept only one specific value at a time, rather than a range or multiple values.
Cause:
- Single-Value Characteristic: The characteristic in question is defined in the system as a single-value characteristic, which means it can only accept one value at a time.
- Input Error: The user may be trying to enter multiple values or a range of values for that characteristic, which is not allowed.
- Configuration Issue: There may be a misconfiguration in the classification setup or the way the characteristic is defined in the system.
Solution:
- Check Characteristic Definition: Review the definition of the characteristic in the classification system. Ensure that it is indeed set up as a single-value characteristic.
- Enter a Single Value: If you are trying to enter multiple values, change your input to a single value that is valid for that characteristic.
- Review Classification Settings: If you believe the characteristic should allow multiple values, you may need to adjust the configuration settings in the classification system. This may involve changing the characteristic type to allow multiple values, if appropriate.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for guidance on how to properly configure characteristics and classifications.
