What causes this issue?

Item &V1& requires that a partner unit be specified.
The partner unit cannot be inherited from triggering item &V2& because
it is not set up for partner units (or because the balance is to be
created for all partner units as part of a debit/credit sign-triggered
reclassification).

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Do one of the following:
Specify a partner unit.
Choose a different triggering item.
By specifying a partner unit or set, narrow down the set of triggering
items to those items which require a partner unit.
