The SAP error message G1A105 indicates that you are attempting to archive journal entries for a fiscal year and period that are not eligible for archiving based on the system's configuration. This typically occurs when the specified year and period are either too early or have not been set up for archiving.

    Cause:

    1. Archiving Configuration: The archiving settings in SAP may not allow for the archiving of journal entries before a certain fiscal year or period. This is often set to ensure that only completed and finalized periods are archived.

    3. Authorization Issues: Sometimes, the user may not have the necessary authorizations to perform archiving operations for the specified period.

    Solution:

    1. Check Archiving Settings: Review the archiving configuration in the SAP system. You can do this by navigating to the relevant transaction codes (e.g., SARA for archiving) and checking the settings for the journal entries.
    2. Adjust the Year/Period: Ensure that you are trying to archive journal entries for a year and period that are eligible. You may need to adjust your selection criteria to a later year or period that is allowed for archiving.
    3. Complete Period Closing: Make sure that the financial period you are trying to archive has been closed properly. If there are any open items or pending transactions, they need to be resolved before archiving can occur.
    4. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or your organization's internal guidelines regarding archiving processes to ensure compliance with the established procedures.
    5. User Authorizations: Verify that you have the necessary authorizations to perform the archiving operation. If not, contact your SAP security administrator to obtain the required permissions.
