  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message G01576 - Set &1 contains statistical items, set &2 does not ?

The SAP error message G01576 indicates that there is a mismatch between two sets in a report or analysis. Specifically, it states that one set (Set &1) contains statistical items, while the other set (Set &2) does not. This typically occurs in the context of reporting or data analysis where statistical data is expected to be compared or aggregated.

    Cause:

    1. Mismatch in Set Types: The primary cause of this error is that one of the sets being used in the report or analysis includes statistical items (like averages, counts, etc.), while the other set does not. This can happen if the sets are defined differently or if there is an inconsistency in the data being analyzed.
    2. Configuration Issues: There may be configuration issues in the way the sets are defined in the SAP system, leading to one set being recognized as statistical and the other as non-statistical.
    3. Data Source Issues: The data sources for the sets may be different, leading to discrepancies in the types of items included in each set.

    Solution:

    1. Review Set Definitions: Check the definitions of both sets (Set &1 and Set &2) to ensure they are configured correctly. Make sure that both sets are intended to contain similar types of data.
    2. Adjust Statistical Items: If Set &1 is supposed to contain statistical items, consider whether Set &2 should also include statistical items. If so, modify Set &2 to include the necessary statistical data.
    3. Modify Report/Analysis: If the sets are meant to be compared, ensure that both sets are compatible in terms of the data they contain. You may need to adjust the report or analysis to ensure that both sets are aligned.
    4. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for guidance on how to properly configure sets and handle statistical items.
    5. Seek Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to your SAP support team or consulting with an SAP expert who can provide more tailored assistance based on your specific configuration and requirements.
