  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message G01575 - Items in set &1 are statistical, item &2 is not statistical ?

The SAP error message G01575 indicates a discrepancy between the statistical nature of items in a set. Specifically, it means that while some items in a set are marked as statistical, one or more items are not. This can occur in various contexts, such as during the processing of inventory, cost accounting, or financial transactions.

    Cause:

    1. Mixed Item Types: The error typically arises when you are trying to process a group of items where some are defined as statistical (i.e., they do not affect financial accounting directly) and others are not. For example, in inventory management, statistical items might be used for tracking purposes without impacting the financial statements.
    2. Configuration Issues: There may be configuration settings in the material master or in the relevant accounting settings that lead to this inconsistency.
    3. Data Entry Errors: Incorrect data entry or selection of items during transaction processing can lead to this error.

    Solution:

    1. Review Item Types: Check the items in the set to ensure that they are all of the same type (either all statistical or all non-statistical). You can do this by reviewing the material master records or the relevant transaction data.
    2. Adjust Item Settings: If you need to change the status of an item (from statistical to non-statistical or vice versa), you can do this in the material master (transaction code MM02) or through the relevant configuration settings.
    3. Transaction Review: If you are processing a transaction (like a goods movement or invoice), ensure that you are not mixing statistical and non-statistical items. You may need to separate the transactions or adjust the items involved.
    4. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance on handling statistical items in your version of SAP.

    Related Information:

    • Material Master: The material master is where you can check the settings for each item, including whether it is statistical.
    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with relevant transaction codes such as MM02 (Change Material), MB1A (Goods Withdrawal), or others depending on your specific context.
    • SAP Notes: Check SAP Notes for any known issues or patches related to this error message, as there may be updates or fixes available.
    • User Roles and Permissions: Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to make changes to item settings or to process transactions involving statistical items.

If the issue persists after following these steps, it may be beneficial to consult with your SAP support team or a functional consultant who specializes in the relevant area of SAP.
