  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

To guarantee data consistency, the system will reset the data in the
target area of the import. You did not restrict characteristic <ZH>&V1&
</> on the selection screen and, thus, you did not specify a target
    area.

    System Response

The import will reset the data for all characteristic values of
    characteristic <ZH>&V1&</>.
This logic is used for the following characteristics:
    Period
    Ledger
    Posting level

    How to fix this error?

If applicable, modify your selection conditions to affect which data is
    reset.

    How can this happen?

Say, you made no restrictions on the selection screen for
characteristic "period". The file contains data for period <ZH>012
</>. The database contains data for periods <ZH>006</> and <ZH>012</>.
Since you did not restrict the period, the data for periods <ZH>000</>
    through <ZH>016</> will be lost.
If you want to reset the data only for period <ZH>012</>, restrict the
    selection to period <ZH>012</>.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
