  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

Customer and vendor accounts already exist and you want to switch off
the name enhancement. This effects the following:
When you create new customer or vendor accounts, the standard fields
(Name1, Name2, etc.) from Financial Accounting (FI) are displayed for
maintenance instead of the alternative fields (first name, surname)
    from Public Sector Management (PSM)!
When you change already existing customer or vendor accounts the
standard FI fields are also displayed instead of the PSM-fields. The
alternative fields are deleted when you save in order to prevent
inconsistencies between the different name fields occurring. The
alternative PSM fields may have different entries because of this,
depending on whether you changed a subledger account or not after
deactivating the name enhancement (or created a new one).

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

You can deactivate the name enhancement, but the alternative PSM fields
are then deleted when you change existing master data. If you switch
the name enhancement on again later, this causes inconsistencies in the
    existing master data.
