FMHIE204
- The FMAA you entered is not the top node in the hierarchy ?The SAP error message FMHIE204 indicates that the Fund Management (FM) system is expecting a specific node in a hierarchy, but the node you entered is not the top node. This typically occurs when working with Fund Management and its associated hierarchies, such as when trying to create or modify a budget or a commitment.
Cause:
- Incorrect Node Selection: The node you are trying to use is not the top node of the hierarchy. In Fund Management, hierarchies are structured in a parent-child relationship, and certain operations require you to start from the top node.
- Hierarchy Configuration: The hierarchy may not be configured correctly, or the node you are trying to access may not be properly linked to the top node.
- Authorization Issues: Sometimes, the user may not have the necessary authorizations to access the top node or the hierarchy.
Solution:
- Verify the Hierarchy: Check the hierarchy structure in the Fund Management module to ensure that you are selecting the correct top node. You can do this by navigating to the relevant transaction (e.g., FMHIER) and reviewing the hierarchy.
- Select the Correct Node: When entering the FMAA (Fund Management Area), ensure that you are selecting the top node of the hierarchy. If you need to work with a specific node, ensure that it is a valid child of the top node.
- Check Authorizations: Ensure that you have the necessary authorizations to access the top node and perform the required operations. If not, contact your system administrator to grant the necessary permissions.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for guidance on how to properly navigate and utilize hierarchies in Fund Management.
