- Change of enterprise-specific trip type of current and other trips ?The SAP error message FITVPS156 typically occurs in the context of travel management when there is an attempt to change the enterprise-specific trip type for a trip that has already been created. This error indicates that the system does not allow changes to the trip type for existing trips due to certain constraints or rules set within the SAP system.
Cause:
- Existing Trips: The error arises when there are existing trips that have already been created with a specific trip type, and an attempt is made to change the trip type for these trips.
- Configuration Settings: The system may have configuration settings that prevent changes to trip types once they are assigned to trips.
- Data Integrity: SAP enforces data integrity rules to ensure that changes do not lead to inconsistencies in the travel management data.
Solution:
- Review Trip Types: Check if the trip type you are trying to change is applicable to the existing trips. If not, you may need to create a new trip or modify the existing trips without changing the trip type.
- Create New Trips: If the trip type needs to be changed, consider creating new trips with the desired trip type instead of modifying existing ones.
- Consult Configuration: If you believe that the change should be allowed, consult with your SAP administrator or the person responsible for SAP configuration in your organization. They may need to adjust the settings in the travel management configuration to allow for such changes.
- Check for Dependencies: Ensure that there are no dependencies or approvals tied to the existing trips that would prevent changes to the trip type.
